I have a nice chunk of black quartz and I want to clean it up. I found a product at the local Home Depot called Drylock Etch Masonry cleaner. It is dry compound that when mixed with water, forms sulfamic acid. Sulfamic acid has a pH of 1.8 or so. I thought this would be strong enough to remove any grime and what-not off the quartz but I'm concerned about damaging the quartz itself. Will this hurt it?
